Provision of credit
We may provide our services to you or your business on credit, that is, we may only issue you with an invoice after our services have been provided. This Policy outlines how we may disclose information about your account conduct with us, or any overdue amounts for which you are personally liable (e.g. as a sole trader, director, or guarantor) to external credit reporting bodies, in the event that you, or a business for which you are personally liable, fail to pay any amounts owing to us for services provided on credit terms.
When we will disclose information about your credit activities with us to a credit reporting body
If you fail to pay our invoice in full, within the prescribed period on our invoice, we may disclose your personal information in connection with your credit related dealings with us to credit reporting bodies. Before we disclose any default to a credit reporting body, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and provide an opportunity to resolve the overdue amount. If you are personally liable for a business-related fee or invoice (e.g. as a sole trader, director, or guarantor), we may report that default to a credit reporting body under this policy.
What happens when we disclose adverse information about your credit activities with us to a credit reporting body?
Credit reporting bodies may include that information in reports that they provide to other credit providers, such as banks to assist them with assessing your credit worthiness in the future.
Any adverse information recorded on your credit report will stay on your report for a period of 5 years, or as determined by the below listed credit reporting bodies.
What happens if we list a credit default on your credit report, which is subsequently paid?
We will update the default listed on your credit report to a paid default. This won’t remove the default entirely but will show as ‘paid’, which may still impact your ability to access credit in the future.
You may request that a credit reporting body:
· not use your credit information for the purposes of pre-screening of direct marketing by a credit provider; or
· not use or disclose your credit information, if you believe on reasonable grounds that you have been, or are likely to be, a victim of fraud.
Any such request to should addressed to the credit reporting body directly.
